We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic DT ECT to join our vibrant department in Bournemouth.

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring DT lessons that spark creativity, problem-solving skills, and practical abilities in a stunning seaside location
• Develop students' design thinking, technical skills, and understanding of manufacturing processes, drawing inspiration from the coastal environment (where applicable)
• Foster a love for hands-on learning and exploration within the design and technology field
• Contribute to the development of our curriculum to ensure it is relevant, engaging, and reflects the unique opportunities of a coastal setting (e.g., focus on marine technology, sustainable design practices)
• Play a vital role in our supportive and inclusive school community

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology or a relevant subject
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for design, innovation, and practical learning
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills, especially in a hands-on learning environment
• A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their design potential and inspired by the beauty of the south coast
