What You'll Do:

• Lead and oversee the development and implementation of a stimulating and engaging English curriculum across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.

• Guide students in developing a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
• Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
• Take a leadership role within the English department, mentoring and supporting colleagues, and developing innovative teaching practices.
• Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the English department and the wider school community.
• Play a key role in promoting a love of literature and fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a valid QTS in English or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrates a strong passion for the English language and a captivating teaching style.
• Holds a relevant TLR qualification or has demonstrable leadership experience within an educational setting.
