The Role:

This exciting opportunity allows you to play a pivotal role in promoting physical literacy and a love for movement in young people, with a particular focus on inspiring young women. You'll be responsible for:

• Captivating the Classroom:
  • Design and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons that cater to a variety of abilities and interests, especially for girls.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including practical activities, games, technology integration (if applicable), and differentiated instruction, to foster a love for physical activity.
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment that encourages participation and celebrates individual achievements.
  • Prepare students for success in relevant PE qualifications
• Building Confidence in Movement:
  • Develop students' competence and confidence in a variety of sports and physical activities, with a focus on empowering girls to participate and excel.
  • Encourage students to adopt healthy habits and develop a lifelong love for physical activity.
• Fostering Teamwork and Sportsmanship:
  • Instill the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition within PE lessons.
  • Provide opportunities for girls to develop leadership skills and participate in extracurricular sports teams.

We're Looking For:

• A qualified PE Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• A demonstrable passion for physical education and a strong commitment to promoting girls' participation in sports and physical activity.
• Excellent subject knowledge across the PE curriculum and the ability to create engaging and inclusive lessons.
• A strong focus on student well-being and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
