The Role:

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in our mission to inspire a passion for the past and equip students with the historical knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Captivating the Classroom:
  • Design and deliver engaging and stimulating History lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including discussions, debates, source analysis, multimedia presentations, and field trips to create a dynamic learning experience.
  • Ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, participation, and a love for learning.
  • Prepare students for success in relevant History qualifications.
• Igniting a Passion for the Past:
  • Develop students' understanding of historical events, key figures, and major historical developments.
  • Encourage students to ask critical questions, analyze evidence, and develop their own interpretations of the past.
  • Foster a sense of historical empathy and the ability to see the world from different perspectives.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a qualified History Teacher with a minimum of two years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• A demonstrably strong subject knowledge across the History curriculum.
• Excellent pedagogical skills and the ability to design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons.
