We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our school in Reading on a full-time, permanent basis starting September 2024. This position is ideal for a committed educator passionate about fostering a love of literature and language in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards.
  • Encourage and support students in developing their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support.

Requirements:

  • Degree in English or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of current English literature and language teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
