We are delighted to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Canterbury, recognized for its strong academic focus and supportive learning environment. They are seeking a skilled and inspiring English Teacher to join their faculty in a full-time, permanent position starting this September.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the school's thriving English department and cultivate a love of literature and language in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The role entails:
- Designing and delivering engaging and rigorous English lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational ethos.
- Fostering a passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking in students, equipping them with essential communication skills for success.
- Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing personalized learning strategies to maximize individual potential.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the department and wider school community to develop and enhance the English curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in English Language, Literature, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about English language and literature, with a strong commitment to student success.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
