We are delighted to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Canterbury, recognized for its commitment to academic excellence and student well-being. They are seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology Teacher to join their faculty in a full-time, permanent role commencing in September.
Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong passion for psychology to inspire and educate young minds. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing students' understanding of the human mind and behavior, fostering critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative psychology lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, exploration, and inquiry.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Stay abreast of current developments in psychological research and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 4 and 5.
