The Role

• Curriculum Delivery: Design, plan, and deliver engaging Media Studies lessons tailored to the needs of sixth form students.
• Skill Development: Foster students' understanding of media theory, production techniques, and critical analysis.
• Academic Preparation: Prepare students for success in relevant Media Studies qualifications, such as A-Level and IB Diploma.
• Creative Development: Promote creativity and innovation in media production, empowering students to develop their own original ideas and projects.
• Departmental Contribution: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and contribute to the overall success of the Media Studies department.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Film, Television, or a related field
• Qualified teacher status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Media Studies at sixth form level
• Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Experience in using media production equipment and software
