Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the diverse needs of Year 1 students.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, curiosity, and a love of learning.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets to support their academic and personal growth.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s education.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a safe, respectful, and engaging learning atmosphere.
• Use a range of teaching strategies and resources, including ICT, to enhance learning experiences.
• Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school events, and collaborative planning sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Key Stage 1 preferred.
• A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and early years development.
• Proven ability to inspire and engage young children, fostering a love of learning from an early age.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
