The Role
- Deliver Engaging Physics Lessons: Design, plan, and deliver inspiring Physics lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students can develop their understanding of physical concepts effectively.
- Foster Practical Skills: Develop students' scientific knowledge, understanding, and practical skills through hands-on experiments and investigations in areas such as mechanics, electricity, waves, and optics.
- Prepare for Success: Prepare students for success in a range of Physics qualifications, including GCSE, A-Level, and the IB Diploma.
- Encourage Research and Innovation: Promote scientific research and exploration, inspiring students to become lifelong learners and innovators in the field of Physics.
- Contribute to the Department: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and contribute to the overall success of the Physics department.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the Physics curriculum to ensure it aligns with the latest advancements in the field, incorporating emerging technologies and research findings.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback, using a variety of assessment methods to evaluate students' understanding and skills.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods, technologies, and research in the field of Physics.
- Mentorship: Mentor and support student development, helping them to reach their full potential and pursue further studies or careers in Physics or related fields.
