We are delighted to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth, dedicated to fostering a healthy and active lifestyle among its students. They are seeking a passionate and qualified Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity.
Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a PE Teacher to make a positive impact on students' physical and mental well-being through engaging and inclusive sports and fitness programs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing students' athletic abilities, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and instilling a lifelong love of physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's sporting ethos across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and celebrates student achievement at all levels of ability.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Lead and coach school sports teams, fostering a sense of teamwork, competition, and healthy lifestyles.
- Contribute to the wider school community by organizing and participating in sporting events and activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 3 and 4.

- Passionate about physical education and sports, with a strong commitment to student well-being and development.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Able to motivate and inspire students of all abilities to reach their full potential.
