We are pleased to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth, dedicated to academic excellence and providing a supportive learning environment. They seek a skilled and passionate Economics Teacher to join their faculty starting in September in a full-time, permanent position.
Position Summary
This is a unique opportunity to guide and inspire young minds in the dynamic field of Economics. You will play a key role in developing students' understanding of economic principles, financial literacy, and their application in the real world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging Economics lessons for Key Stages 4 and 5, aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational objectives.
- Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a passion for Economics in students.
- Assess student progress through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics or a closely related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Economics at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5.
