Role: Reception Teacher

A reputable school is looking for a Reception Teacher starting in September, for a full time and permanent role.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field is essential. A postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education is highly desirable.
• Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is mandatory.
• Safeguarding Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training and knowledge of child protection procedures are necessary.

Experience:

• Early Years Experience: Significant experience teaching in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), particularly in Reception, is preferred.
• Differentiation: Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Skills:

• Early Literacy and Numeracy: Proficiency in teaching early literacy and numeracy skills, including phonics, counting, and basic mathematical concepts.
• Play-Based Learning: Familiarity with play-based learning approaches and creating rich, stimulating learning environments.
• Assessment: Competence in assessing young children's progress using observation, formative assessment, and developmental milestones.
