A specialist school in Islington is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other learning difficulties.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

School Information:
The school provides a nurturing environment tailored to the needs of students with SEND. The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated team of teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with ASD and other SEND in their learning activities.
  • Develop strategies to support students’ social and emotional needs.
  • Work with the SENCo to create and implement IEPs.
  • Foster independence and confidence in students.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • A clear DBS check.
