A primary school in Hackney is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a nurturing environment. This is a full-time role suited to someone passionate about inclusive education.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

School Information:
The school has a diverse student population with a wide range of SEN requirements, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech and Language Needs (SLN). The team works collaboratively to ensure each student reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with SEN.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCo.
  • Assist in lesson planning and deliver tailored activities.
  • Monitor student progress and report to the class teacher.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SEN students in a primary setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid DBS check.
