A vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on supporting children with speech and language difficulties.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type: Full-time, Temporary
Location: Tower Hamlets

School Information:
The school has a dedicated speech and language programme and works closely with external therapists to support pupils. They are looking for someone to help implement speech therapy techniques within the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for children with speech and language difficulties.
  • Use communication tools such as Makaton and PECS.
  • Work with external therapists to support language development.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with speech and language difficulties.
  • Knowledge of Makaton or similar communication tools.
  • DBS check required.
