The Role
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Design, plan, and deliver inspiring Psychology lessons that capture students' interest and promote critical thinking.
- Develop Psychological Understanding: Foster students' understanding of psychological concepts, theories, and research methods through engaging activities and real-world examples.
- Prepare for Success: Prepare students for success in relevant Psychology qualifications, such as GCSE, A-Level, and the IB Diploma.
- Encourage Critical Thinking: Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills through thought-provoking discussions and challenging assignments.
- Contribute to the Department: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and contribute to the overall success of the Psychology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the Psychology curriculum to ensure it aligns with the latest advancements in the field.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and best practices.
- Mentorship: Mentor and support student development, helping them to reach their full potential.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Psychology Teacher: With a passion for the subject and a proven track record of success in teaching Psychology.
- Strong Subject Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in Psychology, including key areas such as cognitive psychology, social psychology, and developmental psychology.
- Excellent Classroom Management: Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
