The Role:
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in helping our young learners transition from their early years to Key Stage 1. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating, supportive, and creative classroom environment where every child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 pupils.
- Support the development of literacy, numeracy, and social skills through creative and hands-on activities.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support where needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages children to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the well-being and development of each child.
- Uphold the school's values and ethos, contributing to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and events.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
- Experience teaching in Year 1 or Key Stage 1 is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the ability to deliver lessons creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and positive approach.
- A nurturing, patient, and empathetic nature, able to adapt to the needs of all children.
