Position Overview:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the school's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student success. This role entails fostering a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment that cultivates scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's high academic standards, catering to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, collaboration, and a passion for scientific exploration.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing differentiated learning strategies to support individual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Science education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
