The Position

As an Economics Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering a stimulating and comprehensive economics curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will foster a deep understanding of economic principles, theories, and their real-world applications, preparing students for further study and future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages inquiry, debate, and critical analysis.
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
• Stay informed about current economic trends and developments, incorporating them into your teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics or a closely related discipline.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• A strong grasp of economic theory, principles, and their practical applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
