Maths SEN Teacher – Specialist SEN School – Haringey

A well-established SEN school in Haringey is seeking a passionate Maths SEN Teacher to deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to students with special educational needs. This role is ideal for a teacher who can inspire and motivate students with learning difficulties to achieve success in mathematics.

The school specialises in providing tailored education for students with a range of SEN needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). The successful candidate will join a supportive team focused on student progress and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to SEN students across various key stages.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the SENCo and teaching assistants to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching Maths.
• Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or MLD.
• Strong understanding of Maths curriculum and assessment for SEN learners.
• A clear DBS check.
