A specialist SEN school in Southwark is looking for a creative and hands-on Design and Technology (DT) SEN Teacher to teach DT to students with a range of special educational needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a DT specialist with a passion for inclusive education.

Responsibilities:

• Teach DT, focusing on developing practical skills and creativity in students with SEN.
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCo and support staff to develop IEPs.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment, using specialised equipment and resources when needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

• QTS with a specialism in Design and Technology.
• Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with sensory or physical disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of DT curriculum and practical teaching methods.
• A clear DBS check.
