The Role:
- Deliver engaging and hands-on Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience.
- Foster a love of design and technology in students, encouraging them to explore a variety of materials, techniques, and technologies.
- Create a dynamic and collaborative workshop environment where students feel safe to experiment, innovate, and develop their design and making skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative DT curriculum that reflects current trends and best practices.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their design and technological development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in DT.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- A passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in young people.
