Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and reporting to teachers and parents on behaviour and emotional development.
- Create a safe and supportive environment that encourages students to express themselves and develop coping strategies.
- Facilitate group sessions and activities focused on social skills development, conflict resolution, and emotional awareness.
- Collaborate with external professionals, such as educational psychologists and counsellors, to enhance the support provided to students.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with emotional and behavioural difficulties, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- A resilient and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people in overcoming challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or a related field are desirable.
- DBS check required.
