Role Highlights
- Permanent, full-time teaching role within a supportive SEN environment in Notting Hill, focused on fostering inclusive learning experiences that nurture confidence, curiosity, and skill-building in Key Stage 2 students with additional needs

- Work collaboratively with SEN staff, teaching assistants, and specialists to assess and adapt lesson plans according to each child’s progress, ensuring alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs) and specific learning goals
- Create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that celebrates achievements and encourages students to explore, build social skills, and develop a sense of belonging and independence
- Engage in continuous professional development, accessing SEN-focused training opportunities to stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies, ensuring you provide the most effective and inclusive support for your students
- Regularly assess student progress, maintaining open communication with support staff, parents, and other stakeholders to adapt instruction and provide the best possible learning experience for each child
Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven Key Stage 2 experience, ideally within an SEN setting to bring added insight and empathy to supporting students with unique learning needs
- Empathetic and organized teaching style that combines structure with flexibility, creating a safe and encouraging space for students to grow at their own pace
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with SEN professionals, teaching assistants, and families, building a strong support network that benefits each child’s development
- Creative approach to lesson planning, with the ability to design adaptive and engaging activities that focus on academic progress, social engagement, and skill-building in a way that resonates with each learner’s interests and abilities
- Enhanced DBS check required to uphold the school’s commitment to student safety and well-being
