The Opportunity
A prestigious independent day school in Worcestershire is seeking an accomplished French Teacher to join its modern languages faculty. This is a full-time, permanent role teaching French across Key Stages 3–5 (GCSE and A-Level). You will help sustain and evolve an ambitious French curriculum and play an active part in enriching the school’s linguistic culture.

What We’re Looking For
The school seeks someone who:

• Holds a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Has strong subject knowledge and experience teaching French, ideally to A-Level
• Delivers lessons with clarity, rigour, and communicative vitality
• Uses assessment, feedback, and differentiation to stretch all learners
• Is collaborative, forward-thinking and contributes to a dynamic department

Experience with exchange programmes, language clubs, or immersive teaching (e.g. trips, cultural projects) is highly desirable.

The Role in More Detail
You will design and deliver French lessons across all age groups, emphasising spoken confidence, cultural awareness, grammar, and text study. You will prepare students for public examinations and support progression into further studies. You will contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and co-curriculum language initiatives.

Additionally, there will be scope to run language clubs, coordinate exchange visits or cultural immersion trips, develop cross-curricular language projects, and forge external partnerships to enrich student experience.
