A leading independent school in Worcestershire is seeking an exceptional Spanish Teacher to join its modern languages faculty. This full-time, permanent position involves teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3–5 (GCSE and A-Level), contributing to curriculum innovation and raising student engagement in language study.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent)
- Possess excellent subject knowledge and experience teaching Spanish (GCSE & A-Level)
- Plan and deliver lessons balancing language skills, cultural context and challenge
- Use assessment, feedback and differentiation to support all learners
- Work collaboratively, reflectively, and contribute to departmental growth
Experience leading linguistic immersion, exchange programmes or cultural outreach projects would be an asset.

The Role in More Detail
You will deliver Spanish lessons across the full age range, integrating speaking, listening, reading and writing skills with cultural awareness and challenge. You will support students through internal and external assessments, and contribute to the development of schemes of learning, departmental resources and cross-curricular links.
You will also have opportunities to lead or contribute to language clubs, organise exchange visits or immersion trips, and develop projects that deepen students’ linguistic and cultural understanding. The role may also involve collaborating with other departments (e.g. geography, global studies) to elevate interdisciplinary language teaching.
